Facial masks have probably been one of the hardest things for me to adapt in my skincare regimen. I had a terrible experience with a brand 3 years ago and it has really made me paranoid since then. My skin got so terrible after using that mask and it took about 4-5 months to heal. One day I will share the story. So moving forward I decided to stick to natural based or DIY face masks as I have very sensitive and acne prone skin. I’m afraid to react to products again.

I did a lot of research on natural clay masks and I finally found what works for me. I saw a fellow blogger on instagram use clay mask from a particular brand and I asked her about the brand and she actually recommended a more natural one since she hadn’t used that product long enough to give me a proper review. It was bentonite clay but I couldn’t order to get it on time so I had to source it locally. In the market its known as “Ayilor” or “Shile”. I mix it with water and a drop of tea tree essential oil. It has been so helpful.

It has become a favourite as it cleans and detoxifies my skin. I have noticed that it has minimized the appearance of my pores. I’ve also noticed a glow in my skin. Usually when something is good or works for me I tend to abuse it a lot but I’m trying to be disciplined so I only mask twice a week. When I first started I used it four times a week. I’ve been doing this for about two months and it has been working for me.
Wow, i will try it too..i hope it works for me..
Neeeeded this. Started breaking out so bad since November and I’ve tried everything possible but it’s only getting worse. Will give this a try ?

Great content! Super high-quality! Keep it up! 🙂
Face masks are also not my thing. I do use fruits and scrubs on my face but I am definetly looking for these items when next I’m in the market.
Thanks Debbs
