Beauty. Fashion. DIY

I have always had a thing for shoulder pads. I’m not sure if it’s because I naturally have short shoulders or the fact that I love Vintage. There’s no doubt that fashion tends to repeat itself. From flared jeans from the 70’s to minimalist pieces from the 90’s and a whole lot more.

Broad padded shoulders in suits have always been a personal favourite then a few years back I came across a dramatic t-shirt from Vetements and quickly made my DIY version and posted. Big shoulders for me creates an illusion of amour and makes me feel very large and in charge.

Fast forward to 2020, I’ve noticed how this trend is looking as chic as ever. Shoulder pads for EVERYTHING!! I’ve seen them on sleeveless t-shirts, sweaters, button down shirts, bodysuits and so much more. I’m actually looking forward to creating more fun looks with this. In the meantime here is a link to my DIY video on how I turned an oversized button down men’s shirt into a sleeveless padded shirt dress.ENJOY!
